Priorities

I want to see a Pierce County that thrives as a safe, inclusive, and united community with the Sheriff’s Office serving as a beacon of transparency, integrity, and community engagement. Through collaborative efforts with residents, community organizations, local businesses, and government agencies, I’ll champion law enforcement strategies proven to address the root causes of our county’s biggest challenges, creating lasting positive change.

I’ll work to strengthen bonds between law enforcement and the community, built on trust and open communication, with residents actively participating in shaping public safety policies that reflect the unique needs and perspectives of our community. And I’ll work to create an environment where every member of our diverse community – including our agency members – feels heard, valued, and equally served, prioritizing fairness, accountability, and innovation in law enforcement practices.

My priorities as your next Pierce County Sheriff are encapsulated by the acronym, “CHEERS.”
